Mac Al Gurg wins biggest project since inception in 1974 with Diehl Smart Metering

Smart water metering systems supplied by leading building and construction solutions provider Mac Al Gurg have recently selected for a major Federal Electricity and Water Authority (Fewa) project in the UAE.
“This Fewa deal is the largest single order received by Mac Al Gurg since its inception in 1974,” Nicholas Papadopoulos, General Manager of the Dubai-based ESAG Building Materials Division (BMD), tells Gulf Construction. “The company is rightly proud of it and of its association with Diehl Metering – one of the leading global companies in this field.”
Mac Al Gurg is one of the three entities under ESAG BMD, which is part of Easa Saleh Al Gurg Group, a well-respected UAE conglomerate comprising 27 companies with a portfolio of over 370 international brands.
The Fewa order, which was secured by Mac Al Gurg in July, involves the supply 127,500 units of ½-inch Mbus wired ultrasonic smart water meters from Diehl Metering. These smart meters, which are at the cutting edge of technologies in this area, will be supplied to Fewa over a period of five years, Papadopoulos, says.

Diehl Metering systems have also been installed in the City of Kalba, Sharjah, following their approval by Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority (Sewa).
